Twill Fabric

Twill Fabric

I. Product Overview

Twill fabric is a woven fabric made using a twill weave (warp and weft yarns interlace to form a 45° diagonal pattern). It is mostly made from raw materials such as cotton, polyester, and cotton-polyester blends. With obvious diagonal lines on the surface, it combines aesthetics and practicality, and is a common fabric for clothing and home textiles.

II. Key Features

  • Clear texture: Obvious diagonal lines with a strong sense of three-dimensionality, and better texture than plain fabric.
  • Thick texture: Compact structure, good wear resistance and elasticity, not easy to wrinkle.
  • Good drape: The fabric is neat with a certain drape, suitable for shaping designs.

III. Common Specifications

  • Raw materials: Pure cotton, cotton-polyester blends (e.g., 65% polyester + 35% cotton), pure polyester, etc.
  • Yarn count: Warp yarn 20S-40S, weft yarn 16S-32S (the higher the number, the finer the yarn).
  • Density: Warp density 80-120 threads per inch, weft density 60-90 threads per inch (the higher the density, the thicker the fabric).
  • Weight: 150-300g/m² (lightweight for shirts, heavyweight for coats and work clothes).
  • Width: Conventional 145-150cm, customizable.

IV. Typical Applications

  • Clothing: Shirts, jackets, jeans, work uniforms.
  • Home textiles: Curtains, sofa covers, bedding.
  • Industrial use: Luggage fabrics, tent cloths, etc.
