Microfiber Base for shoes

Microfiber Base for shoes

I. Product Overview

Microfiber base is the substrate of microfiber synthetic leather. Made from ultra-fine polyester/nylon staple fibers, it is processed into a three-dimensional non-woven fabric through non-woven techniques, then undergoes impregnation, coagulation and other treatments. It has texture and performance similar to genuine leather, serving as a core material to replace natural leather.

II. Key Features

  • Excellent simulation: Texture and handfeel are close to genuine leather, with good flexibility, suitable for cutting and sewing.
  • Superior physical properties: Tear-resistant, wear-resistant, and highly fold-resistant (up to tens of thousands of times or more).
  • Eco-friendly and weather-resistant: Contains no animal components, water-resistant, acid and alkali-resistant, adapting to different environments.

III. Common Specifications

  • Raw materials: Ultra-fine polyester/nylon fibers (ratio is mostly 7:3 or 8:2).
  • Thickness: 0.5-3.0mm, adjusted according to finished product requirements (e.g., 1.2-2.0mm is commonly used for shoe materials).
  • Density: 0.3-0.8g/cm³; higher density means better strength.
  • Width: Conventional 137-140cm, customizable.
  • Color: Mostly white or gray base, which can be dyed later.

IV. Typical Applications
