Titanium Dioxide

Titanium Dioxide

I. Product Overview

Titanium dioxide (titanium oxide) is a white inorganic pigment with high hiding power and whiteness. Produced by the sulfuric acid method or chlorination method, it is widely used in coatings, plastics, papermaking and other fields for coloring, whitening and hiding purposes.

II. Key Features

  • Excellent optical performance: High whiteness (≥95%), strong hiding power, and high refractive index (2.5-2.7).
  • Chemically stable: Resistant to acids, alkalis and weathering, not easy to discolor, and high temperature resistant (stable at ≤600℃).
  • Good dispersibility: Easy to grind and disperse, compatible with substrates, and does not affect the mechanical properties of products.

III. Common Specifications

  • Types: Rutile type (Type R, excellent weather resistance), anatase type (Type A, high whiteness).
  • Particle size: 0.2-0.3μm, specific surface area 10-30m²/g, oil absorption 18-30g/100g.
  • Purity: TiO₂ content ≥98%, moisture ≤0.5%, pH value 6-8.

IV. Typical Applications

Coating color matching, plastic whitening, paper coating, cosmetic whitening agent, ink coloring.
