PVC Resins

I. Product Overview

PVC resins, or polyvinyl chloride resins, are formed by the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomers. Available in suspension polymerization, emulsion polymerization and other types, they are general-purpose synthetic resins widely used in plastic processing fields.

II. Key Features

  • Strong plasticity: Can be made into soft products (such as films) by adding plasticizers, or into hard products (such as pipes).
  • Chemical resistance: Resistant to acids, alkalis and oil stains, suitable for scenarios involving contact with various chemicals.
  • Moderate cost: Lower price than resins like PU and PE, with high cost performance.

III. Common Specifications

  • Types: Suspension polymerization resins (mainstream, used for hard products), emulsion polymerization resins (used for coatings, adhesives).
  • Molecular weight: Average degree of polymerization 800-1500 (low polymerization degree for easy processing, high polymerization degree for high strength).
  • Apparent density: 0.4-0.6g/cm³.
  • Particle size: 40-200μm (affecting processing fluidity).

IV. Typical Applications

  • Soft products: Artificial leather, films, hoses, wire and cable insulation layers.
  • Hard products: Pipes, sheets, profiled materials (doors and windows), toys.
