Needle-punching Nonwoven Fabric

I. Product Overview

Needle-punching nonwoven fabric is a type of non-woven fabric made by interlocking and reinforcing fibers (natural fibers such as cotton and wool, or chemical fibers such as polyester and polypropylene) through a needle-punching process. It does not require spinning or weaving, featuring efficient production and flexible structure, and is a commonly used category in non-woven fabrics.

II. Key Features

  • Porous structure: The interwoven fibers form a porous structure, with good breathability and heat retention.
  • Adjustable strength: Strength is controlled by needle-punching density; high-density products have excellent wear resistance and tear resistance.
  • Strong adaptability: Thickness and weight can be adjusted according to needs, compatible with various fiber raw materials.

III. Common Specifications

  • Raw materials: Polyester (mainstream), polypropylene, cotton or blended fibers.
  • Weight: 50-1000g/m²; light and thin ones are used for packaging, while thick ones are suitable for industrial protection.
  • Thickness: 0.2-10mm, positively correlated with weight, affecting soft and support.
  • Width: Conventional 160-320cm, customizable.
  • Needle-punching density: 50-500 needles/cm²; higher density means a tighter structure.

IV. Typical Applications

  • Industrial use: Filter materials, geotextiles, automotive interiors.
  • Home furnishing: Mattress cushions, carpet base cloth, cleaning cloths.
  • Packaging field: Environmental protection packaging materials, agricultural covering cloths.
