Hydrolysis-Resistant Base Cloth

Hydrolysis-Resistant Base Cloth

I. Product Overview

Hydrolysis-resistant base cloth is a fabric substrate that can resist degradation caused by moisture erosion. It is mostly made from synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon, processed through special techniques (e.g., hydrolysis-resistant coating, fiber modification). Suitable for high-humidity or water-contact environments, it provides stable underlying support for functional fabrics.

II. Key Features

  • Hydrolysis resistance: Resists fiber breakage, strength loss, and other degradation when in long-term contact with water or humid environments.
  • Chemical resistance: Has certain tolerance to acids, alkalis, detergents, etc., adapting to complex usage scenarios.
  • Structural stability: Maintains good dimensional stability, not easy to deform due to water absorption.

III. Common Specifications

  • Raw materials: High hydrolysis-resistant polyester, nylon, or blended fibers with hydrolysis-resistant additives are preferred.
  • Weight: 150-400g/m², selected according to load-bearing requirements (e.g., outdoor products tend to be thicker).
  • Thickness: 0.3-1.0mm, matching the weight, affecting durability.
  • Hydrolysis resistance standards: Passes high-temperature and high-humidity aging tests (e.g., maintaining performance under 70℃/95% humidity conditions).
  • Width: Conventional 150-220cm, customizable.

IV. Typical Applications

  • Outdoor products: Tent base cloth, waterproof backpack fabrics.
  • Industrial field: Water filter cloth, protective covers for underwater equipment.
  • Home furnishing: Bathroom curtains, waterproof sofa base cloth.
