Selvedge cutting system

Selvedge cutting system

I. Product Overview

The selvedge cutting system is a device used for precise cutting of fabric selvedges during textile, printing, and dyeing production processes. It can remove excess fuzz and irregular selvedges, leaving neat fabric edges to facilitate subsequent processing such as sewing and lamination. It is widely used in various textile fabric production and processing enterprises.

II. Key Features

(1) Precise Cutting

Adopting high-precision sensors and cutting tools, the cutting accuracy reaches ±0.5mm, and it can adapt to fabrics of different thicknesses (0.1-5mm) and materials.

(2) Efficient Operation

The maximum cutting speed is up to 100m/min, supporting continuous uninterrupted work to meet large-scale production needs. It also accommodates various fabric widths (500-3000mm).

(3) Intelligent Control

Equipped with a PLC control system and a human-machine interface, it allows presetting of cutting parameters such as cutting width and speed. It can also monitor the cutting status in real-time and automatically alarm in case of faults.

III. Common Specifications

(1) Equipment Parameters

  • Power supply: 380V; Power: 2-10kW.
  • Overall dimensions (length × width × height): Approximately 2000×1500×1200mm (varies by model).

(2) Tool Parameters

  • Tool type: Common types include circular knives or straight knives. Blades are made of high-hardness alloy with a long service life, typically capable of cutting 100,000-500,000 meters of fabric before replacement.
  • Tool speed: Circular knife speed is 1000-5000r/min, adjustable according to cutting requirements.

IV. Typical Applications

  • Garment fabric production: Cutting selvedges of various garment fabrics such as cotton cloth and chemical fiber cloth, preparing for subsequent cutting and sewing processes.
  • Home textile production: Used for selvedge processing of home textiles like curtain cloth and bed sheet fabric.
  • Industrial textile production: Such as geotextiles and filter cloths, ensuring neat selvedges to facilitate subsequent splicing and use.
