PVC Mesh Fabric

I. Product Overview

PVC mesh fabric for tarpaulins is a specialized material that combines the durability of PVC with the characteristics of a mesh structure. It is suitable for various tarpaulin applications, offering both protective performance and practicality.

II. Material Composition

It is based on polyester yarn, which provides strength and dimensional stability. The outer layer is coated with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) to protect the polyester fibers from moisture and enhance overall durability. Some products also incorporate olefin fibers to improve flexibility.

III. Key Features

  • Durability: The PVC coating resists wear and moisture, and can withstand freezing and thawing in cold environments, making it suitable for long-term outdoor use.
  • Breathability: The mesh structure allows air circulation, preventing moisture condensation under the tarpaulin and avoiding mold growth on covered items.
  • Water Resistance: The PVC coating provides a certain level of water resistance, capable of repelling light rain and splashes (not completely waterproof).
  • UV Resistance: It resists sun exposure, is not easy to fade or crack, and is suitable for long-term outdoor protection.

IV. Common Specifications

  • Yarn Denier: 500D-1000D (higher denier means thicker and stronger yarn).
  • Weave Density: 8-12 threads per square inch (higher density results in better strength and durability).
  • Mesh Size: 0.5-2cm (smaller meshes prevent small debris; larger meshes offer better ventilation).
  • Thickness: 0.3-1.0mm (thicker fabrics have higher strength; thinner ones are more flexible).
  • Weight: 200-800g/m² (lightweight fabrics are easy to handle; heavy-duty ones are suitable for high-load scenarios).

V. Typical Applications

  • Agriculture: Covering hay, providing shade and ventilation in greenhouses.
  • Construction: Covering building materials and equipment, serving as temporary barriers.
  • Outdoor Events: Setting up shaded areas, protecting stages and equipment.
  • Transportation: Covering goods on trucks/trailers to resist wind and rain while maintaining breathability.
