I. Product Overview

Pearlescent pigments are a type of flake pigment that presents a pearlescent luster through light interference and reflection. Mostly made by coating metal oxides on mica substrates, they are suitable for fields such as coatings, inks, and plastics, endowing products with a soft pearlescent texture.

II. Key Features

  • Pearlescent effect: Display iridescent or metallic luster with changing viewing angles, and the luster is long-lasting and stable.
  • Chemical resistance: Resistant to acids, alkalis, and solvents, with good compatibility with most substrates.
  • Easy to disperse: Flake structure is easy to align directionally without affecting the mechanical properties of products.

III. Common Specifications

  • Appearance: Powder form, particle size 5-100μm, whiteness/chroma adjustable (silver white, iridescent, gold, etc.).
  • Temperature resistance: Generally resistant to 200-600℃ (depending on the model), lightfastness grade ≥6.
  • Purity: Active ingredient ≥98%, moisture content ≤0.5%, pH value 6-8.

Automotive coatings, cosmetic makeup, plastic packaging printing, furniture baking paint, jewelry box decoration.
