Special materials for the artificial leather industry are dedicated auxiliary materials that enhance product functionality. They include functional additives, high-performance base fabrics, and special coating materials, which are used to improve the wear resistance, flame retardancy, antibacterial properties and other characteristics of artificial leather, meeting high-end or customized needs.
-
Function enhancement: Endow artificial leather with special properties, such as flame retardancy (UL94 V0 grade), antibacterial performance (antibacterial rate ≥99%), and hydrolysis resistance (no cracking for 500 hours).
-
Process compatibility: Have good compatibility with substrates like PU and PVC, without affecting processing stability.
-
Environmental adaptability: Resist high and low temperatures (-40℃ to 120℃) and ultraviolet aging, extending the service life of products.
-
Types:
- Functional additives: Flame retardants (addition amount 5%-15%), antibacterial agents (1%-3%), wear-resistant agents (2%-5%).
- High-performance base fabrics: Microfiber fabrics (weight 80-200g/m²), high-temperature resistant non-woven fabrics (temperature resistance ≥150℃).
- Special coatings: Silicone coatings (thickness 0.1-0.5mm), TPU waterproof coatings (moisture permeability ≥5000g/m²・24h).
-
Appearance: Additives are mostly powder/liquid; base fabrics are white/natural color; coatings are transparent or custom colors.
- High-end furniture leather (flame-retardant, stain-resistant), automotive interior leather (light-resistant, wear-resistant).
- Medical leather (antibacterial, disinfection-resistant), outdoor product leather (waterproof, anti-aging).
